HEROIX Dance Crew
Heroix is Project: Inspire’s adult performance dance crew built for dancers who want to push beyond the studio and become part of something bigger.
Bringing together dancers from different backgrounds, styles, and experiences, Heroix is a space to train, create, perform, and grow together. Our goal is to develop versatile performers through consistent training, collaborative choreography, professional media productions, live performances, and competitive opportunities.
But Heroix is about more than becoming stronger dancers. We’re building a team that gives its members opportunities to train, compete, perform, film, and travel—experiences that challenge dancers creatively while creating friendships and connections within Guam’s dance community and beyond.
As Heroix continues to grow, we aim to represent Guam on larger stages, pursue off-island training and international competition opportunities, collaborate with dancers and creatives across communities, and produce high-quality dance films and original performance projects.
Whether we're in the studio, on stage, behind the camera, or halfway across the world, we believe growth happens when dancers are willing to challenge themselves and each other.

About Heroix

Heroix is Project: Inspire’s adult performance dance crew for dancers looking to train, compete, perform, film, travel, and grow as part of a committed team. Our season includes regular training, live performances, professional media projects, competitions, workshops, and opportunities to pursue off-island experiences.

Heroix primarily explores choreography influenced by hip-hop, commercial, street, K-Pop, and contemporary performance styles. Dancers from all training backgrounds are encouraged to audition.

Travel is one of Heroix's long-term goals and opportunities. We aim to give members opportunities to train, experience dance communities outside Guam, and eventually represent Guam in off-island and international competitions.
Travel opportunities are not guaranteed every season and may involve additional costs and fundraising.
Audition Eligibility & Requirements

Auditions are open to dancers ages 17 and older. Dancers under 18 will require parent or legal guardian consent if accepted into the crew.

No! You don't need to be a professional dancer to audition. We are looking at more than technical ability—we also consider potential, performance quality, musicality, work ethic, adaptability, attitude, and willingness to learn.

Yes. Mature 17-year-old dancers are welcome to audition. However, you will be training primarily alongside adults and will be expected to uphold the same standards of professionalism and commitment.
For dancers under 18, school comes first, and parent/guardian consent will be required. High-school members will also be expected to remain in good academic standing.

High-school members must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and remain in good academic standing. School comes first.
Audition Day

Auditions will be held across four available sessions:
Saturday, September 26 — 1–3 PM or 4–6 PM
Sunday, September 27 — 1–3 PM or 4–6 PMYou only need to attend ONE audition session.

To keep each audition group manageable and give dancers adequate space and attention, we're offering four time slots. Simply select the session that works best for you when registering. Space in each session is limited.

Dancers will participate in a warm-up and learn choreography taught during the audition. You'll be given time to practice before performing the combination in smaller groups. We may also include freestyle, performance, or other exercises to help us see your individual strengths.

Unless otherwise announced, no. The primary audition choreography will be taught to you on-site.

Wear comfortable dancewear that allows you to move freely and shows your personal style. Sneakers or appropriate dance footwear are recommended. Come ready to move, sweat, and perform!

We're not necessarily looking for the dancer who knows the most tricks or has the most years of experience. We're looking for dancers who demonstrate potential, performance, musicality, retention, versatility, teamwork, professionalism, and hunger to improve.
How you respond to corrections and work with the people around you matters too.

That's completely okay. For some dancers, this may be their first formal audition. We're interested in seeing what you can do—not whether you're nervous. Come prepared, stay open to corrections, and give us your best effort.

Reserve one of the four audition sessions through Project: Inspire's Heroix audition registration page. Space is limited, so dancers are encouraged to register in advance.
JOINING HEROIX

Selected dancers will receive additional information regarding the 2026–2027 Heroix season, including membership expectations, rehearsal schedules, fees, performances, productions, competitions, and other crew commitments. You'll have an opportunity to review those expectations before formally committing.

Heroix is a performance crew, not a drop-in dance class. Members are expected to attend rehearsals consistently, arrive on time, practice outside of rehearsals when necessary, communicate responsibly, and make themselves available for major crew performances and productions.
There may also be periods leading up to major events when additional rehearsals are necessary.

Yes. Heroix members should expect membership dues and may have additional expenses associated with uniforms, costumes, workshops, competitions, travel, or special projects. All expected costs and commitments will be explained to dancers before they formally accept their position on the crew.

Not every workshop, trip, production, or activity will necessarily be mandatory. Heroix leadership will communicate which activities are required and which are optional.
Audition Results & What's Next

Not being selected doesn't mean you aren't a good dancer or that you can't audition again. Heroix is building a particular roster based on the needs of each season.
We're also developing Heroix All Out, our community division designed to give more dancers opportunities to train, perform, create, and grow within the Heroix community without the same requirements as the official crew.

Yes. All Out can be a great environment to continue developing while giving Heroix leadership an opportunity to see your growth. However, participation does not guarantee placement on the official roster.

Absolutely. We encourage it. A dancer who isn't ready for Heroix today could be exactly who we're looking for next season.
